A New Way of Doing Church

We are approaching worship in a fresh revitalizing way. The Bibles tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people. That means God shows up. And when he shows up wonderful things happen which is what the Bible is all about. So we can pretty much promise you that you will leave worship at Lighthouse feeling about ten thousand times better than when you came in.

You can stand if you wish, or you can sit, no one tells you what to do. You can walk around or drink your coffee. You can pray, sing, relax, or dance if you want. No one judges you by what you wear or how you worship, it is between you and God. We will love you and pray for you though.

We also pray for people at work, in restaurants, at the mall, in homes, in the marketplace. Jesus went out into the places where people were to pray for them. He did not wait for them to come to church.

Things happened when Jesus prayed. Things which seem impossible or miraculous to us, but which seem commonplace to Him. He was often surprised when people were impressed. There was no supernatural to Jesus, no separation between heaven and earth because he came from heaven, its all natural to him. He said in his prayer, "On earth as it is in heaven". We believe that!

That same Christ, now resurrected, lives in us today. When we pray, He answers us and provides answers! Sometimes in ways that seem surprising or miraculous to us..
